Lab-Tested. Quality You Can Trust
Our freeze-dried pet treats are supported by independent laboratory testing and recognised Australian production standards, providing added confidence in product integrity and quality.
Industry Standards in Australia
In Australia, pet food is guided by the voluntary standard AS5812:2023 — Manufacturing and Marketing of Pet Food (Cats and Dogs).
Based on guidance from the PFIAA Executive Officer, regulatory discussions are currently underway across Australian states and territories, with a recommendation expected this year. It is anticipated that future regulations may be based on this standard and could apply more broadly to pet food sold in Australia if introduced.
Although currently voluntary, we uphold this standard as a benchmark for quality, demonstrating our commitment to pet welfare and consumer trust.
Our Certifications & Production Standards
Our production operates within recognised Australian regulatory and certification frameworks, including:
Safe Food QLD Certification
Our partner freeze-drying facility is accredited under Safe Food Production Queensland’s Meat Scheme, meeting all regulated meat processing standards for human consumption. See the official certificate below.
While these certifications define key production and compliance requirements, we further support this framework through independent laboratory testing.
Independent Laboratory Testing
We conduct independent laboratory testing of our freeze-dried products to provide additional product-level verification.
Testing is carried out by accredited Australian agricultural food laboratories and Eurofins, a globally recognised laboratory.
Microbiological Analysis
Salmonella is routinely tested in our freeze-dried products to verify microbiological integrity. For poultry-based products, subsequent batches have also been tested for E. coli, providing additional reassurance.
Freeze-Dried Product Reports
The image below shows a blurred Eurofins report covering multiple products. Nutritional data has been redacted for confidentiality, while microbiological results remain visible.
Moisture Content
Moisture levels are carefully monitored to preserve product stability, maintain the characteristic texture of freeze-dried treats, and help minimise conditions that could support microbial growth, in line with recognised food quality and safety practices.
Batch Verification & Transparency
To support transparency across multiple submissions, we include examples of Eurofins communications alongside selected moisture testing records, specifically illustrating moisture analysis conducted on finished products. These records indicate that multiple products may be assessed within the same testing cycle. Only a portion is shown, with certain details redacted for confidentiality.
